KEYSER — A financial institution is suing a Mineral County borrower, alleging breach of a business access line on a credit note.

M&T Bank filed a complaint April 13 in the Mineral Circuit Court against Angela Shaffer, doing business as The Speech Path, alleging borrower has defaulted on her obligations to pay the loan of more than $45,000.

According to the complaint, in May 2011, M&T Bank agreed to extend Shaffer's credit limit of up to $50,000 for the purchases and expenses relating to the defendant's business. To date, the suit says, Shaffer is indebted to plaintiff in the amount of $45,483.11.

The plaintiff alleges The Speech Path has failed to repay the loan as promised.

M&T Bank seeks trial by jury, judgment of $45,483.11, pre- and post-judgment interest of at least $14,229.06, attorney fees, court costs and all other just and reasonable relief. It is represented by attorney Christopher R. Moorre of Christopher R. Moore, Attorney at Law in Hedgeville.
