Family seeks damages from drivers, Lesco over I-77 collision

CHARLESTON – A South Charleston family allege they were injured in an auto accident on Interstate 77 because of the negligence of two other motorists.

Ashley M. Lewis, John Sterling Lewis and their children filed a complaint in Kanawha Circuit Court against Timothy Lee Walding, Lesco Inc. and Joshua S. Franklin alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on July 31, 2016, they were traveling north on I-77 near Charleston when they were injured in a collision caused by the negligence and carelessness of defendants. They allege they were caused to suffer pain and suffering, medical expenses, annoyance, inconvenience and loss of enjoyment of life as a result of the collision.

The plaintiffs seek judgment against the defendants, jointly and severally, for compensatory damages, plus interest, attorney's fees and costs. They are represented by G. Patrick Jacobs of The Law Office of G. Patrick Jacobs in Charleston.

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Joanna Tabit.
