Pa. man alleges roofing services' negligence caused him to fall off roof

GRAFTON — A Pennsylvania contractor is suing roofing and gutter services, alleging negligence led to injuries for the plaintiff.

Ronald D. Adams of Lake Lynn,, Pennsylvania, filed a complaint May 4 in Taylor Circuit Court against the Joshua Wolfe, doing business as WC Construction Company, doing business as Gutters Plus, and John Does 1-10, alleging they failed to provide a reasonably safe place to work.

According to the complaint, on Dec. 21, 2016, Adams was doing repair work on the roof of the Taylor County Courthouse. The suit says he was injured when he fell 20 feet to the ground while attempting to lift a box of shingles on the roof of the courthouse. 

Adams says he suffered lumbar compression fracture, resulting in pain and suffering, lost wages and medical expenses that are expected to continue. The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to have adequate safety equipment and failed to properly train and supervise Adams.

Adams seeks trial by jury, judgment against the defendants, jointly and severally in an amount sufficient to establish the jurisdiction of the court, plus court costs and expenses and all other just and proper relief. He is represented by attorney Christopher J. Wallace of The Wallace Firm PLLC in Weirton.
