Wayne Co. motorist alleges P&S tractor trailer driver caused crash

HUNTINGTON — A Wayne County man is suing the owner and driver of a tractor trailer, alleging negligence caused a crash that severely injured the plaintiff..

Steven R. Rose filed a complaint May 7 in Cabell Circuit Court against Stephen Michael Taylor, P&S Transportation LLC and John Doe defendants 1-2, alleging failure to exercise proper safe driving, and failure to exercise standard care and skill in the operation of a vehicle.

According to the complaint, on May 12, 2016, Rose was driving his 2010 Chevy pickup truck on Interstate Highway 64 in Huntington when Taylor, operating a tractor trailer owned by P&S Transportation, collided with Taylor's vehicle.

The lawsuit states Taylor was severely injured in and about his body and limbs, rendered disabled, and suffered great pain and anguish, as a result of Taylor's negligence in the operation of a semi tractor-trailer.  

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to properly inspect and maintain vehicles and trailers, and failed to provide proper training for the safe operation of their vehicles,.

Rose seeks trial by jury, judgment against the defendants for all damages, including compensatory and punitive damages, plus interest and costs. He is represented by attorney Jason A. Leasure and Matthew Oliver of Vital & Vital LC in Huntington.
