WINFIELD — A Georgia customer is suing Bob Evans Farms, alleging negligence caused her to suffer injuries at its Putnam County restaurant.

Cynthia Ferguson of Winder, Georgia, filed a complaint May 17 in Putnam Circuit Court against Bob Evans Farms LLC, alleging failure to exercise reasonable care in maintaining its restaurant premises.

According to the complaint, on May 20, 2016, Ferguson was at the Bob Evans Farms restaurant in Teays Valley. The suit said Ferguson was injured when she slipped on greasy-slick flooring at the restaurant.

She said she sustained severe bodily injuries resulting in mental anguish, pain and suffering, medical expenses, inconvenience and loss of enjoyment of life. The plaintiff alleges Bob Evans Farms negligently allowed the accumulation of a foreign substance on the floor and failed to provide adequate warning of the hazardous condition.

Ferguson seeks trial by jury, compensatory damages and all further appropriate relief. She is represented by attorney Thomas H. Peyton of Peyton Law Firm PLLC in Nitro.
