WEST UNION – A man alleges he was wrongfully terminated by his employer after reporting allegedly illegal conduct.

Patrick Maxwell filed a complaint in Doddridge Circuit Court against Western Land Services Inc. alleging wrongful termination.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 27, 2017, he was terminated by the defendant in retaliation for reporting potential illegal conduct regarding the reproduction of property records.

The plaintiff holds Western Land Services Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly retaliated against plaintiff for making a good faith report of a wrongdoing.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant for loss of earnings and benefits, liquidated and punitive damages, attorney's fees and costs of litigation. He is represented by David L. Delk Jr. of Grove, Holmstrand & Delk PLLC in Wheeling.
