BECKLEY – A Crumpler couple is seeking a refund on a vehicle they purchased over allegations it has defects that the manufacturer has not repaired.

Rvonne Reed and Ricky Reed filed a complaint in Raleigh Circuit Court against FCA US LLC citing West Virginia Consumer Credit and Protection Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege on Jan. 20, 2017, they purchased a 2017 Jeep Cherokee from the defendant's authorized retailer for $27,775 plus other fees. They allege after purchasing the vehicle, they experienced nonconformities with it and that the manufacturer has not conformed the vehicle with its warranties despite attempts to do so.

The plaintiffs seek judgment against defendants for revocation of acceptance and refund of purchase price, costs of repairs, attorney's fees, and further relief as the court deems appropriate. They are represented by Anthony M. Salvatore of Hewitt & Salvatore in Fayetteville.

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Robert A. Burnside Jr.
