BECKLEY — A pharmacy technician is suing CVS, alleging gender discrimination and sexual harassment.

Andrea Marshall of Raleigh County filed a complaint in Raleigh Circuit Court against West Virginia CVS Pharmacy LLC, alleging the retail pharmacy operator scheduled her to work with a pharmacist known for harassing.

According to the complaint, as a result of CVS' reprisal, she has been annoyed, aggravated and emotionally distressed. On Jan. 13, 2017, Marshall said she resigned her position under duress.

The plaintiff alleges West Virginia CVS Pharmacy, by and through Karl Bennett, subjected her to repeated gender discrimination and sexual harassment and aggressiveness at the CVS in Beckley. The suit says Bennett called her by stripper names, made inappropriate gestures and sang inappropriate songs.

Marshall seeks trial by jury, compensatory and punitive damages, and all other proper and just relief. She is represented by attorney Brandon S. Steele of Beckley.

Raleigh Circuit Court case number 18-C-273
