CHARLESTON — A Kanawha County motorist is suing a cargo truck driver and the truck leasing company, alleging negligence caused a crash.

Angela Hudnall filed a complaint in Kanawha Circuit Court against Amanda Pauley and Penske Truck Leasing Company, alleging Pauley failed to maintain proper control of the vehicle she leased from Penske.

According to the complaint, on Aug. 24, 2017, Hudnall was traveling westbound on Rutledge Road in Kanawha County when Pauley negligently operated the van owned by Penske, causing a head-on collision with the plaintiff's vehicle.

Hudnall says she sustained severe personal injuries and incurred medical expenses, lost wages and severe pain and suffering. The plaintiff alleges Pauley failed to keep her vehicle in the proper lane and failed to keep proper lookout.

Hudnall seeks trial by jury, judgment in excess of the jurisdictional limits of the court, pre- and post-judgment interest, and all other just and proper relief. She is represented by attorneys Scott S. Segal and Jason P. Foster of The Segal Law Firm in Charleston.
