Insurance company alleges business owes more than $22,000

CHARLESTON — A liability insurer is suing a business group, alleging unpaid insurance premiums of more than $22,000.

Brickstreet Mutual Insurance Company filed a complaint in Kanawha Circuit Court against CFS Group LLC, alleging the defendant failed to perform its contractual obligations.

According to the complaint, between July 3-Oct. 1, 2017, Brickstreet provided CFS Group with workers' compensation and employer's liability insurance. To date, the suit says, the premium in the policy of $22,470 remains due and owing. 

The plaintiff alleges CFS Group has failed to pay the premium owed under the policy.

Brickstreet Mutual Insurance seeks trial by jury, judgment of $22,470, plus costs, attorney fees, interest and all other just and proper relief. It is is represented by attorneys Arnold J. Janicker and Steven P. Turner of Jenkins Fenstermaker PLLC in Huntington.
