HUNTINGTON — An Ohio couple is suing a Huntington bar and grill operator, alleging negligence caused injuries to the wife.

Wanda Cole and John Cole filed a complaint in Cabell Circuit Court against CSA Inc., doing business as Fat Patty's, alleging the defendant failed to keep its premises in a reasonably safe condition.

According to the complaint, on March 5, 2017, Wanda Cole was injured at Fat Patty's when she stepped down from the platform area and fell. She says she suffered injuries to her upper, middle and lower extremities, including a displaced right subrochanteric fracture of her right femur.

The plaintiffs allege Fat Patty's failed to provide adequate lighting and failed to mark the area of the step down from a raised platform.

The Coles seek trial by jury, judgment to adequately compensate them for their damages, plus interest, costs and all other proper relief. They are represented by attorney Paul E. Biser of Fredeking & Biser Law Offices in Huntington.
