Bank alleges hospitality business owes more than $400,000

LOGAN — A bank is is suing a West Logan hospitality business, alleging breach of contract and unpaid debt of more than $400,000.

Hanmi Bank, the successor by merger to United Central Bank, filed a complaint in Logan Circuit Court against GNM Inc, doing business as. Mountain Trail Inn and Suites, alleging failure to pay off the balance of a debt. 

According to the complaint, as of Feb. 16, Mountain Trail Inn and Suites had failed to fully pay off a debt as evidenced by a promissory note for the property at 207 Second Ave. West Logan, and for inspection by the plaintiff's agents. 

The plaintiff alleges Mountain Trail Inn and Suites has failed to pay the balance due under the promissory note, and refused to give the bank access to the property without attaching terms and conditions that contradict provisions of the deed of trust.

Hamni Bank seeks trial by jury, payment of the principal amount of $399,706.74, together with $30,709.28 in interest, late charges of $8,577.79, other expenses of $10,800, declaratory and injunctive relief, access to the property, attorney fees and expenses. It is by represented by attorneys Travis A. Knobbe of Spilman Thomas & Battle PPLC in Pittsburgh, and by Mikail O. Clark of the same law firm in Charleston.
