HUNTINGTON – A Kentucky woman alleges a wet rug at a Huntington restaurant caused her to fall.

Tammy Potter filed a complaint in Cabell Circuit Court against Red Lobster Hospitality LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 19, 2016, she was injured while attempting to enter defendant's restaurant in Huntington when she fell because of a wet rug. She alleges she sustained numerous injuries to the body and was caused to suffer great pain and suffering, medical expenses, lost wages and other damages.

The plaintiff holds Red Lobster Hospitality LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to adequately warn its invitees of the defective and dangerous condition.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory damages, interest, costs, attorney's fees and such other proper orders and relief. She is represented by Greg K. Smith of Law Office of Greg K. Smith in Williamson.

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Gregory L. Howard Jr.
