CHARLESTON — JPMorgan Chase is suing a Kanawha County man, alleging breach of a guaranty agreement.

JPMorgan Chase Bank NA filed a complaint in Kanawha Circuit Court against John H. Tinney Jr., alleging he has defaulted in a payment of more than $118,000.

According to the complaint, on July 16, 2015, Tinney unconditionally guaranteed the line of credit note executed by The Tinney Law Firm PLLC in favor of JPMorgan Chase in the amount of $500,000.

As of July 18, 2018, the total amount of $118,277.41, remains due and owing, the suit says. The plaintiff alleges Tinney, despite demand for payment, has failed and continues to refuse to pay all amounts due under the note.
