NELSON MULLINS RILEY & SCARBOROUGH: ABA Litigation Section Elects Nelson Mullins' Larry Kristinik as Budget Officer

Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough issued the following announcement on Sept. 26.

The American Bar Association Section of Litigation has elected D. Larry Kristinik, III, a partner in Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP’s Columbia office, as its Budget Officer for a one-year term. As the Budget Officer, Kristinik will be assisting with the development of the annual $5 million budget for the Section of Litigation and monitoring the Section’s fiscal performance throughout the year. He will also be responsible for monitoring the Section’s $9 million reserves account and managing reserve requests and other special funding requests.

Kristinik practices in the areas of business litigation, class action defense, insurance coverage and bad faith claims, defense of investor securities claims, and FINRA broker-dealer arbitrations. He co-chairs the firm's Insurance Industry Practice Group and also serves as the assistant group leader of the firm's Litigation Group.

The Section of Litigation has more than 45,000 members that includes plaintiff’s attorneys, defense attorneys, prosecutors, criminal defense counsel, family law litigators, judges, and arbitration specialists among others. Operating for more than 45 years, the Section has been committed to improving the profession and the practice of litigation, as well as serving communities and to preserving the rule of law, according to the organization.
