Mercer County grocery alleges Gassaway food business owes $15,000

PRINCETON — A Mercer County grocery store is suing a Gassaway food company, alleging breach of contract.

Sterling Grocery Co. filed a complaint in Mercer Circuit Court against Facemire Foods Inc., doing business as Foodland Corporate, and Douglas E. Facemire, alleging the defendants defaulted on payment of more than $15,000.

According to the complaint, since 2017, Sterling Grocery has done business with Foodland but the defendant has become indebted to the plaintiff for $15,224,27. 

The plaintiff alleges Foodland Corporate and Facemire have failed to pay the $15,224.27 despite demand.

Sterling Grocery seeks trial by jury, damages of $15,224.27, penalties, plus pre- and post-judgment interest, attorney fees and all other just and proper relief.  It is represented by attorney Wayne L. Evans of Katz Kantor Stonestreet & Buckner PLLC in Princeton.
