HUNTINGTON — A motorist is suing State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Co., after a motorist struck her vehicle in a head-on collision.
Amber King filed a complaint in Cabell Circuit Court, against State Farm alleging that the insurer breached its duty of good faith and fair dealings.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 12, 2017, she was traveling east on Eighth Avenue, when an under-insured motorist, Joseph Keeton, allegedly entered her lane and struck her vehicle in a head-on collision.
The plaintiff was injured and also lost wages due to time missed from work.
The plaintiff holds State Farm responsible for Keeton's alleged breached of duty to operate his vehicle in a safe and careful manner.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant in an amount to fully compensate plaintiff for general and special damages, interest, and further relief as the court deems just.
