Wheeling steel company alleges customer owes $104,000

WHEELING — A Wheeling steel company is suing a customer, alleging fraud and conversion.

Ohio Valley Steel Company filed a complaint in Ohio Circuit Court against Nasir Holdings LLC and Omar Ali, alleging refusal to pay $104,000.

According to the complaint, beginning in 2016, Ohio Valley Steel provided machinery, equipment, parts and materials to the defendants. As of Jan. 31, 2018, the total amount remaining due and owing is $104,000, the suit says. 

The plaintiff alleges Nasir Holdings and Ali, despite repeated demands for payments, have failed and refused to pay the outstanding balance.

Ohio Valley Steel seeks trial by jury, actual, compensatory and punitive damages, with interest, attorney fees, costs and all other just and appropriate relief. It is represented by attorney Gerald E. Lofstead III of Spilman Thomas & Battle PLLC in Wheeling.
