BECKLEY — BECKLEY — A couple has filed a lawsuit against a restaurant after the wife injured herself in the parking lot.

Cathy L. Jarrett and Eric Jarrett filed a complaint in Raleigh Circuit Court against Logan's Roadhouse Restaurant, alleging that it breached its duty to keep the restaurant orderly and safe.

Cathy L. Jarrett was patronizing the business premises on Aug. 27, 2016, when she allegedly tripped on an uneven portion of the sidewalk outside, injuring her ankles and falling to the ground.

As a direct result, Eric Jarrett has been deprived of the care, society and services of his spouse.

The plaintiffs hold Logan's Roadhouse Restaurant responsible, because the defendant allegedly negligently allowed the concrete sidewalk to become uneven and failed to warn the public about it.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment for special and general damages, plus legal interest and costs. They are represented by Christopher S. Moorehead of West Virginia State Bar in Fayetteville.
