CHARLESTON — A Kanawha County property owner is suing 7-Eleven and others, alleging breach of a lease agreement, negligence and conversion.

Shop-A-Minit Markets Partnership filed a complaint in Kanawha Circuit Court against 7-Eleven Inc., Antea Group, AECOM, et al, alleging failure to provide proper maintenance and upkeep to the leased property in Charleston.

According to the complaint, as a result of the defendants' negligent management, Shop-A-Minit Markets suffered substantial damage to the property at 6819 Sissonville Road, Charleston, was left without a parking lot and was unable to lease the premises to other tenants for several months.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants abandoned the property without proper notice, took countertops, equipment, shelving and interior machines, failed to supervise the removal of underground gasoline storage tanks and failed to repair the damage done to the property.

Shop-A-Minit Markets seeks trial by jury, all damages, attorney fees and court costs. It is represented by attorney John W. Alderman III of Law Offices of John W. Alderman III in Charleston.
