WHEELING — A customer is suing a Wheeling McDonalds, alleging negligence led to injuries for the plaintiff.

Wade Patterson filed a complaint in Ohio Circuit Court against Mac-Sto Restaurants LLC and Tab Restaurants LLC, doing business as McDonalds, alleging failure to maintain a safe business premises.

According to the complaint, on May 17, 2014, Patterson was attempting to enter the McDonald's at 211 Warwood Ave., Wheeling, when he slipped and fell on the floor that had been wet-mopped. The plaintiff alleges a Mac-Sto Restaurants' and McDonalds'' employee negligently wet-mopped the area of the restaurant without dry-mopping it and allowed it to remain in that wet state without giving adequate warning.

Patterson seeks trial by jury, damages in excess of the jurisdictional limits of the court, with interest, court costs and all other just and proper relief. He is represented by attorney Donald J. Tennant Jr. of Tennant Law Offices in Wheeling.
