CHARLESTON — A Nitro homeowner is suing a Beckley contractor, alleging breach of contract.

Patrick Troy Clagett filed a complaint in Kanawha Circuit Court against Veterans Contracting Enterprises LLC, alleging failure to complete a home renovation project.

According to the complaint, on April 7, 2017, Clagett signed a contract with Veterans Contracting for a major renovation of his home at 1207 12th St., Nitro. The suit says the defendant, under the supervision of Phillip A. Cox Sr., has failed and refuses to finish the renovation of the plaintiff's home despite receipt of full payment.

The plaintiff alleges Veterans Contracting Enterprises has failed to complete the renovation of Clagett's dwelling in a timely manner, and caused Clagett to suffer loss of use of his property and loss of funds.

Clagett seeks trial by jury, judgment for a total payment of $68,882, plus court fees and other expenses. He represents himself as attorney pro se.
