PRINCETON — An operating room specialty nurse is suing a Mercer County hospital group, alleging an unsafe work environment.

Mary Wills of Summers County filed a complaint in Mercer Circuit Court against Princeton Community Hospital Association Inc. and/or Princeton Community Hospital Foundation Inc., alleging failure to provide a hazard-free environment to its employees.

According to the complaint, on Sept. 29, 2016, Wills was fulfilling her duties in the operating room of Princeton Community Hospital when she was caused to fall and be injured due to a dangerous condition. The suit says Wills sustained injuries, resulting in pain and suffering, mental anguish, inconvenience and emotional distress.

The plaintiff alleges the defendant negligently permitted water or cleaning solutions to stand unattended on the operating room floor, failed to take corrective actions and failed to give adequate warning of such a danger.

Wills seeks trial by jury, all damages, interest, costs, attorney fees and all other proper and just relief. She is represented by attorneys Lindsey C. Ashley and Todd A. Kirby of Kirby & Ashley LC in Berkley.
