LOGAN — A patient is suing Logan County medical providers, alleging negligence.

Teresa Dillon filed a complaint in Logan Circuit Court against Logan Regional Medical Center, Dr. James Charlton Paugh II and Dr. Torin Patrick Walters, alleging failure to provide services that meet professional standards of quality.

According to the complaint, Dillon suffered a delay in the diagnosis and treatment of her illness, causing the removal of her right breast, reduced life expectancy, permanent disfigurement, deformity, and mental anguish. She alleges this resulted from the defendants' carelessness and reckless disregard of risk of harm to Dillon.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to timely and adequately diagnose Dillon's breast cancer, failed to properly perform a biopsy lesion on Dillon's right breast and failed to correctly read, interpret and follow up on the ultrasound of plaintiff.

Dillon seeks trial by jury, compensatory and punitive damages, costs, fees and all other just relief. . She is represented by attorneys Woody A. Trent and Richard D. Lindsay of Tabor Lindsay & Associates in Charleston.
