PRINCETON — A former employee is suing a Princeton medical facility, alleging retaliation and wrongful termination.

Cathy Parson filed a complaint in Mercer Circuit Court against Princeton Family Medicine PLLC and Dr. Ryan Runyon, alleging violation of the West Virginia Human Rights Act.

According to the complaint, Parson was sexually harassed and terminated by the defendants in whole or in part due to her gender.

Parson alleges after her sexual relationship with defendant with Runyon, she was threatened, harassed, terminated and offered payment of $500 to settle and not to tell anyone about their sexual encounter.

The plaintiff alleges Princeton Family Medicine and Runyon retaliated against an employee when she opposed and complained about improper, illegal and dangerous conduct in the company.

Parson seeks trial by jury, money damages, reinstatement of employment, injunction, prejudgment interest, and all other just relief. She is represented by attorney D. Adrian Hoosier of Hoosier Law Firm PLLC in Charleston.
