Charleston auto repair shop accuses parts supplier of wrongful charges

CHARLESTON — A Charleston auto repair shop is suing Advance Auto Parts, alleging wrongful charges.

Adelphia Inc., doing business as Village Auto, filed a complaint in Kanawha Circuit Court against Advance Stores Company Inc., doing business as Advance Auto Parts, alleging the defendant billed the plaintiff for purchases even though there were no written purchase orders.

According to the complaint, between 2014 and March 1, 2017, Village Auto plaintiff had paid Advance Auto Parts the total of $207,643, which was wrongfully charged. The plaintiff alleges Advance Auto Parts failed to provide written documentations to support the charges made to the plaintiff.

Village Auto seeks trial by jury, compensatory damages, with interest, court costs, attorney fees and all other legal and equitable relief. It is represented by attorney Anthony G. Halkias of Charleston.
