Former employee alleges constructive discharge by Chapmanville companies

LOGAN — A former employee is suing Chapmanville businesses, alleging gender discrimination and wrongful or constructive eviction.

Sierra Eldridge filed a complaint in Logan Circuit Court against Thornhill Group Inc., Turtle Creek Properties LLC, Thornhill Auto Detail, et al, alleging they violated the West Virginia Human Rights Act.

According to the complaint, on Aug. 7, Eldridge was unlawfully and constructively discharged from her employment, leading to lost wages and benefits, emotional distress, embarrassment and humiliation. 

The plaintiff alleges the defendants subjected her to unwelcome and offensive sexual harassment and abuse.

Eldridge seeks trial by jury, all damages, litigation costs, interest and all other legal and equitable relief. She is represented by attorney Robert P. Lorea of Lorea Law Office PLLC in Charleston.
