LOGAN — A Logan County substitute teacher is suing the county board of education, alleging discrimination and wrongful discharge.
Priscilla Ann Thomas filed a complaint in Logan Circuit Court against the Logan County Board of Education, alleging her former employer discriminated against her based on age and race.
According to the complaint, on Oct. 14, 2016, Thomas was terminated from her employment. The plaintiff alleges the Logan County Board of Education failed to give Thomas credit for at least six hours for science for a course in water chemistry and a course in calculations and hydraulics for water and then terminated her for an alleged lack of certification.
Thomas seeks trial by jury, all damages, litigation fees, court costs and expenses. The plaintiff is representing herself.
