Man claims former employer withheld wages

Lawsuits

PRINCETON — A system administrator is suing a former employer and one of its employees, citing alleged violation of workers' compensation laws.

Michael Hambrick filed a complaint in Mercer Circuit Court against Supply Chain Insights LLC and Lora Cecere a/k/a Lora Hypes, a research data provider, alleging a violation of state code.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 27, 2018, he was terminated from his employment. At the time of his termination, defendant owed plaintiff the gross amount of $31,448.19. The total amount now owed by defendant to plaintiff is $62,896.36. The plaintiff holds Supply Chain Insights LLC and Lora Cecere a/k/a Lora Hypes responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay full wages and benefits owed on or before the next regular pay period following his termination, which was Aug. 31, 2018.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants in the amount of $62,896.36 in liquidated damages, but not exceeding $74,000. He is represented by William H. Sanders of Sanders & Austin in Princeton.
