CHARLESTON — A patient is suing health care providers, citing alleged negligence.

Charles Stonestreet filed a complaint in Kanawha Circuit Court against Bluefield Hospital Company LLC d/b/a Bluefield Regional Medical Center, Muhammed Khan, M.D. and Ameneh Sloane-Lambert, M.D. alleging they negligently deviated from the standard of care in caring for and treating him.

According to the complaint, Stonestreet alleges that he suffered bodily injuries resulting in pain, mental anguish, medical care and treatment expenses, humiliation and embarrassment. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because doctors at the medical center allegedly failed to take his history, perform a physical examination, order appropriate diagnostics and tests, or refer him for treatment of DVT.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory damages, with interest, costs, fees and such other relief as he may be entitled. He is represented by William S. Druckman and Madonna C. Estep of the Law Offices of Druckman & Estep in Charleston.
