CHARLESTON — A general manager is suing restaurant operators, citing alleged racial discrimination and wrongful termination.

LaKeisha Hambrick filed a complaint in Kanawha Circuit Court against Rals ZV Charleston LLC, Pankaj J. Seth and Kari Ann Ruby, Subway restaurant operators, alleging that they violated the West Virginia Human Rights Act.

According to the complaint, Hambrick alleges that on Jan. 1, 2018, she was terminated from her employment. She has suffered and will continue to suffer lost wages and benefits, indignity, embarrassment, annoyance and inconvenience. The plaintiff holds Rals ZV Charleston LLC, Pankaj J. Seth and Kari Ann Ruby responsible because they allegedly discriminated against her and willfully terminated her based upon her race.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory and punitive damages, with interest, costs, attorney's fees and all other relief that is just and equitable. She is represented by Ben Salango of Preston & Salango PLLC in Charleston, Kevin Davis of Kevin P. Davis, Attorney at Law in Charleston and Dennis Bailey of Dennis Bailey, Attorney at Law in Charleston.
