CLARK HILL PLC: Clark Hill Announces the Election of 16 Senior Attorneys & Senior Counsel as Members, and the Promotion of 18 Associates to Senior Attorney

Clark Hill PLC issued the following announcement on Jan. 7.

Clark Hill today announced the promotion of 11 senior attorneys and five senior counsel to membership in the firm, and the promotion of 18 associates to senior attorney.

“We congratulate our new members for their demonstrated excellence and sustained accomplishments at Clark Hill,” said the firm’s Chief Executive Officer John J. Hern, Jr. “Their dedication to client well-being and success is exceptional, and we are confident they will continue our tradition of delivering the highest quality service in their practice areas. We also applaud the progress our new senior attorneys have achieved, and look forward to their future advancement.”

New Members

The firm’s new members who were previously senior attorneys, their practice locations, and practice concentrations, include:

Birmingham, Michigan

Brandon J. Muller, a registered professional civil engineer, is a member of the Real Estate Services Practice whose work concentrates on real estate and construction law.

Dallas

Elizabeth Cromwell is a member of the Corporate Practice whose focus is advising exploration and production, midstream, and oilfield service company clients in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other corporate transactions.

Andrew Edson is a member of the Bankruptcy Practice who represents creditors, corporate debtors, and trustees in diverse proceedings, including cash collateral motions, proofs of claims, lift stay motions, adversaries, avoidance actions, disclosure statements, and plans of reorganization.

Tate Hemingson, a member of the Litigation Practice, is an experienced litigator who provides both plaintiff and defense counsel, and guides clients through pre-suit demands and negotiations, injunctive relief, trials, and enforcement and collection of judgments, as well as appeals in state and federal courts.

Audra Mayberry is a member of the Litigation Practice who focuses on representing businesses in commercial and technology disputes in state and federal courts, and providing advice to companies regarding license agreements and relationships with vendors, as well as contract breaches, trade secrets issues, fraud, deceptive trade practices, and employment disputes.

Detroit

Jason Canvasser, a member of the Litigation Practice, concentrates on representing clients in general litigation matters, including complex commercial cases, contractual disputes, defense of premise liability and auto negligence claims, landlord-tenant matters, and issues relating to bankruptcy and creditors’ rights.

Ellen Hoeppner, a member of the Labor & Employment Practice, represents employers in all aspects of employment law, including defending employers in federal and state courts, and before federal and state administrative agencies, in employment discrimination, harassment, retaliatory discharge, and wage and hour claims.

Karen Kett is a member of the Immigration Practice who provides short- and long-term planning for corporate sponsorship of all immigrant and non-immigrant visas, and counsels companies on immigration regulatory compliance.

Carly Machasic is a member of the Labor & Employment Practice who focuses on representing employers in diverse matters, including claims involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, whistleblowing, family/medical leave, and accommodating disabilities.

Mark Nasr is a member of the Construction Law Practice who represents design professionals, including engineers and architects, general contractors, subcontractors, developers, and property owners.

Phoenix

Daniel Schenck is a member of the Corporate Practice who focuses on technology-related transactions, including service as general counsel for clients who require advice on key business matters.

Scott Cruz is a member of the Labor & Employment Practice who represents both public and private-sector employers in labor and employment matters, including civil litigation and preventive counseling.

Giel Stein, a member of the Litigation Practice, tries cases before federal district courts, federal administrative bodies (the Merit Systems Protection Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Office of Federal Operations), federal panel arbitrators, and state courts, as well as in state and federal appellate courts.

Grand Rapids

Nancy Mullett, a member of the Education & Municipal Law Practice, concentrates her efforts on labor negotiations, employee misconduct, discrimination and harassment complaints, best practices in human resources, and wage and hour laws.

Pittsburgh & Morgantown, West Virginia

Mario Bordogna is a member of the Labor & Employment Practice who focuses both on keeping clients in compliance with labor and employment laws, and on assisting them when they require an experienced litigation advocate.

Phoenix

Michelle Tran, a member of the Estate Planning & Probate Practice, provides sophisticated estate planning for individuals, families, and businesses, using trusts and business entities to help clients achieve business succession, estate tax reduction, and asset protection goals.

New Senior Attorneys

Clark Hill’s 18 new senior attorneys include Marshall Meringola in the Healthcare Practice in Austin; Loukas Kalliantasis in the Corporate Practice in Birmingham; Chris Hopkins in the Litigation Practice in Chicago; and Gina Shearer in the Fidelity & Surety Practice in Collin County; as well as Sorana Ban in the Intellectual Property Practice, and Chase Potter in the Litigation Practice, both in Dallas.

Other new senior attorneys include Lindsey Medina in the Immigration Practice, and K.J. Edward Fornell in the Business Litigation Practice in Detroit; Colleen McCarty in the Litigation Practice in Las Vegas; Scott Galla in the Insurance/Reinsurance Practice, and Stacey Schor in the Labor & Employment Practice, both in Philadelphia; and Will Breier in the Construction Practice in Phoenix.

Rounding out Clark Hill’s 2019 new senior attorney cohorts are Rachael E. Rubenstein in the Tax & Estate Planning Practice in San Antonio; David Corneil, Kyle Fellenz, and Richard Hyde, all three in the Litigation Practice in San Diego; Kaitlyn Sikora in the Real Estate Practice in San Francisco; and Patrick Taurel in the Immigration Practice in Washington, D.C.
