Electrical service provider sues premises controllers for unpaid services

WHEELING — An electrical service provider is suing a property owner, and its lessees and their sublesses, citing alleged breach of contract.

United Electric of Wheeling filed a complaint in Ohio Circuit Court against MPT of Wheeling-Alecto LLC, et al. alleging that they failed to perform their obligations under the terms of an agreement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2017 and 2018, it provided electrical materials and services to the defendants. After all allowances and proper credits for payments, $105,267.17 remains due and unpaid. 

The plaintiff holds MPT of Wheeling-Alecto LLC, et al. responsible because they allegedly capriciously made no payments.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in the amount of $105,267.17, with interest and reimbursement for attorney's fees in prosecuting this action. It is represented by James A. Byrum Jr. of Schrader Companion Duff & Law PLLC in Wheeling.
