NELSON MULLINS: Nelson Mullins Selects J.L. Brydie and Donna Tillis for LCLD Pathfinder Program

Nelson Mullins issued the following announcement on Feb. 4.

Huntington associate J.L. Brydie and Columbia associate Donna O. Tillis will participate in the Firm's first year of involvement with Leadership Council on Legal Diversity's Pathfinder Program. The program, according to the organization, is designed to provide practical tools to diverse, high-potential, early career attorneys for the purpose of developing and leveraging professional networks.

Founded in 2009, LCLD is an organization of more than 300 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners who are personally committed to creating a more diverse and inclusive legal profession. As members of the Pathfinders program, Brydie and Tillis will learn foundational leadership skills, gain an understanding of career development strategies for both in-house and alw firm practice, and manage internal professional networks through relationship building skills. The professional development series lasts six to seven months and employs in-person, online, and networking opportunities for the Pathfinders.

Brydie focuses his practice on civil litigation, insurance coverage and bad faith, commercial litigation, tax foreclosure litigation, and consumer financial services. He graduated summa cum laude from Northern Kentucky University College of Law, where he was a Henry Clay Merit Scholar.

Tillis is a member of the Commercial, Appellate Consumer, and Employment Litigation team. She attended University of South Carolina School of Law, where she was Editor in Chief of the ABA Real Property, Trust & Estate Law Journal, a board member of the Pro Bono Program, and a recipient of the Compleat Lawyer award. Since joining the Firm, she has focused her practice on consumer financial services and insurance coverage and bad faith litigation.
