Family sues after vehicle accident

NEW MARTINSVILLE — A couple and their daughter are suing an employee and employer, citing alleged negligence and negligent entrustment.

Tiana E. White, Basil E. White and LeLynn J. White by her next friend and guardian, Basil E. White, filed a complaint in Wetzel Circuit Court against Thomas J. Bohl Jr. and Estes Express Lines, alleging that Estes negligently and improperly entrusted its vehicle to Bohl.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Jan. 30, 2017, Tiana White was operating her 1994 Ford Explorer on North Fork Road when it was struck by the defendants' vehicle. She suffered personal injuries that are permanent and that required her to expend sums of money for medical and hospital expenses. Basil White suffered loss of marital consortium and LeLynn White sustained loss of parental consortium. 

The plaintiffs hold Thomas J. Bohl Jr. and Estes Express Lines responsible because Bohl allegedly failed keep proper control of the vehicle he was driving and negligently drove it on the wrong side of the road.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against the defendants in an amount deemed fair, just and equitable. They are represented by Christopher M. Turak of Gold, Khourey & Turak LC in Moundsville.
