HUNTINGTON — A couple claims that a health care provider was negligent in caring for a man who fell repeatedly.
Teddy and Fonda Hedgecock filed a complaint in Cabell Circuit Court against Seventeenth Street Associates LLC, dba Huntington Health and Rehabilitation.
According to the complaint, on April 4, 2018, Teddy Hedgecock fell on the floor and was admitted to the VA Hospital in Huntington for observation until April 7, 2018. The plaintiff was discharged and allegedly suffered repeated falls before he was tested and it was discovered that he had a subcapital fracture on his femoral neck. The plaintiffs allege the defendant was negligent in failing to diagnose the plaintiff's health complication in a reasonable amount of time.
The defendant is accused of negligence.
The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Woody Trent of Tabor Lindsey & Associates in Charleston.
