Woman claims Castle Law Group was among firms placing unsolicited telemarketing calls to her

WHEELING — A woman claims that she was scam called 25 times by companies.

Diana Mey filed a complaint in Ohio Circuit Court against Castle Law Group PC, Judson Phillips Esq., and Bruyette and Associates LLC.

According to the complaint, beginning in March 2018 the plaintiff was called by the defendant and was offered goods or services. The plaintiff made her disinterest known to the defendant but the calls continued. The plaintiff received 25 calls from the defendant between March 2018 and June 2018, which caused her stress and emotional distress.

The defendant is accused of deceptive trade practice, emotional distress and computer crime as well as violation of the consumer credit and protection act.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Sharon Iskra of Bailey Glasser LLP in Charleston.

The case has been assigned to Judge Michael J. Olejasz.
