Company claims White House Black Market reneged on Town Center lease

CHARLESTON — A corporation is seeking more than $130,000 from retail franchise that allegedly failed to pay on its lease.

CBRE Inc. filed a complaint in Kanawha Circuit Court against White House Black Market Inc.

According to the complaint, White House Black Market Inc. owes $139,764.62 plus interest on a lease that it contracted with CBRE for a space at the Charleston Town Center mall.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. It is represented by Julia A. Chincheck, Marc A. Monteleone and Zachary J. Rosencrance of Bowles, Rice LLP in Charleston.

The case has been assigned to Judge Carrie L. Webster.
