Energy company alleges agreement was violated

CHARLESTON — An energy company is seeking damages for alleged violation of a binding agreement.

Northeast Natural Energy LLC filed a complaint in Kanawha Circuit Court against Larson Enterprises Inc., et al.

According to the complaint, the defendants own land in Clearfield and Centre counties in Pennsylvania and entered into 17 oil and gas leases with East Resources in 2009 and 2010. The suit states the defendants sought an arbitration of the lease but had failed to pay what they owed up to that point.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. It is represented by Adam S. Ennis of Steptoe & Johnson in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania.

The case has been assigned to Judge Tera L. Salango.
