Woman claims she was fired without cause from Summersville medical center

SUMMERSVILLE—A woman is seeking damages, claiming that she was terminated unfairly from her position.

Jennifer McCue filed a complaint in Nicholas Circuit Court against the City of Summersville d/b/a Summersville Regional Medical Center.

According to the complaint, McCue was employed as a health care worker by the defendant for 26 years. After she reported a number of incidents to its CEO, which was in line with her responsibilities, her employment was terminated without cause.

The defendant is accused of unfair termination.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. She is represented by Mark A. Atkinson of Atkinson & Polak in Charleston.
