JACKSON KELLY PLLC: Jackson Kelly PLLC Names 2019 Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Fellows

Jackson Kelly PLLC issued the following announcement on Feb. 28.

Jackson Kelly has chosen Jill Hall and Sylvia Winston Nichols to be members of the 2019 class of Fellows, participating in a landmark program created by the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) to identify, train, and advance the next generation of leaders in the legal profession.

“This is a singular honor for Jill and Sylvia,” said Ellen Cappellanti, Managing Member. “They join a select group of experienced attorneys from diverse backgrounds who have been recognized for their potential as leaders in their organizations.”

Hall is a Member based in the firm’s Charleston, West Virginia office, where she practices in the areas of labor & employment law and employee benefits, as well as ERISA litigation. She regularly advises clients on a wide array of human resources matters under both state and federal law. She also represents employers, insurers, and third-party administrators in all aspects of health and welfare plan compliance and regularly advises clients on the requirements of the Affordable Care Act. Hall holds a law degree from West Virginia University College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bethany College.

Winston Nichols is a Member based in the firm’s Morgantown, West Virginia office, where she practices in the areas of civil litigation. She frequently works on issues of general and complex commercial litigation, including class actions, mass and toxic torts, product liability, insurance coverage, and environmental matters. Winston Nichols holds a law degree from Duke University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Duke University.

According to LCLD President Robert J. Grey, Jr., the LCLD Fellows Program offers participants “a year-long, in-depth program devoted to relationship-building, in-person training, peer-group projects, and extensive contact with LCLD’s top leadership and the best teachers in the business.”
