Loved Ones in Home Care is accused of violating Fair Labor Standards Act

CHARLESTON — A woman is seeking damages, claiming her workplace violated the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Bonnie Newman filed a complaint in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia against Loved Ones in Home Care LLC.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff worked at the defendant's in 2017. The suit states the plaintiff was not paid for overtime hours worked and, despite reaching the goal for bonuses, was not given the bonus earned.

The defendant is accused of violation of the FLSA.

The case has been removed to federal court.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Richard Neely of Neely & Callaghan in Charleston.

The case has been assigned to Judge Thomas Johnston.
