Terra-Petro Development files legal action seeking over $699,000 in unpaid rent

BECKLEY — A development company is seeking nearly $700,000 in damages from a tenant's alleged failure to pay rent.

Terra-Petro Development Inc. filed a complaint in Raleigh Circuit Court against Bail Oil Co. Inc.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for sums due on a lease. The suit states that the defendant was leasing two properties from the plaintiff, but breached the contract and is now indebted for the balance of $699,422.19.

The defendant is accused of sums due on a lease.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by John Wooten of Wooten, Davis, Hussell & Ellis in Beckley.
