Man claims he was rear-ended by negligent company driver

BECKLEY — A man is seeking damages, alleging he was rear-ended by a negligent driver.

Willie Miller filed a complaint Feb. 5 in Raleigh Circuit Court against Richard Blevins Jr., REM West Virginia LLC, REM West Virginia II LLC, REM Community Options LLC, and National Mentor Holdings LLC.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on March 6, 2018, when the plaintiff was driving a vehicle on Robert C. Byrd Drive. The suit states the defendant, who was acting in the employment of REM West Virginia, was also driving a vehicle and failed to stop, rear-ending the plaintiff's vehicle.

The defendant is accused of negligence and reckless driving.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Ben Salango of Preston & Salango in Charleston.
