KINGWOOD — A woman is seeking damages, claiming she was caused to slip and fall on an icy sidewalk.
Susan M. Layne filed a complaint in Preston Circuit Court against Ball Auction Inc. and John Does.
According to the complaint, on Dec. 23, 2017, the plaintiff was walking outside next to a building at 1206 E. State Drive in Terra Alta when she was caused to slip and fall due to a dangerous situation created by an icy road. The defendant was allegedly negligent in the maintenance of the property.
The defendant is accused of negligence.
The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by James Villanova in Pittsburgh.
The case has been assigned to Judge Steven Shaffer.
