LOGAN — A woman is seeking damages, claiming a defective hair product gave her a chemical burn.
Delores Frye filed a complaint in Logan Circuit Court against The Proctor & Gamble U.S. Business Services Co.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place when the plaintiff purchased Clairol Herbal Essence Color Me Vibrant on March 17, 2018 at a Family Dollar store. The suit states the plaintiff followed the instructions on the bottle and used the product as she had before, but was caused to suffer from a chemical burn on her head and scalp.
The defendant is accused of negligence and product liability.
The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Robert Kuenzel of Keunzel Law in Chapmanville.
The case has been assigned to Judge Joshua Butcher.
