Paving company driver is accused of negligence, reckless driving

POINT PLEASANT — A driver is seeking damages, claiming he was injured in a car accident with a negligent commercial driver.

Paul Rayburn filed a complaint Feb. 8 in Mason Circuit Court against Brady Todd Whitt and Myers Paving Inc.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place May 2, 2018, when he was driving on W.Va. 2 when the defendant allegedly drove his car into the plaintiff's path, resulting in a crash.

The defendant is accused of negligence and reckless driving.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Matthew Clark of Kayer, Layne & Clark in Point Pleasant.

The case has been assigned to Judge R. Craig Tatterson.
