Man blames Panther Creek Mining in workplace negligence lawsuit

CHARLESTON — A man is seeking damages after he was allegedly injured at work.

Kevin Mullins filed a complaint in Kanawha Circuit Court against Panther Creek Mining LLC and John Does.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place Jan. 14, 2018, when the plaintiff was injured due to the alleged negligence of the defendant who reportedly failed to de-energize a conveyor belt before the plaintiff was caused injury.

The defendant is accused of creating an unsafe place to work and negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by J. Michael Ranson and Cynthia Ranson of Ranson Law Offices in Charleston.

The case has been assigned to Judge Tod Kaufman.
