Woman accuses DXC Technology of wrongful termination based on age, race and gender

CHARLESTON — A woman alleges she was terminated due to her age, gender and race.

Tracy Beach filed a complaint in Kanawha Circuit Court against DXC Technology Co. and DXC Technology Services LLC.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place when the plaintiff was employed by the defendant. The plaintiff is a 56-year-old black woman who claims she was a model employee for her 23 years of employment. The suit states the plaintiff was informed on Nov. 15, 2018 that she was being terminated. The plaintiff was one of five people to be terminated, all of whom were African-American women over age 55.

The defendant is accused of wrongful termination, retaliatory discharge, racial discrimination and gender discrimination and age discrimination.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Mary Pat Statler of Bailey & Glasser LLP in Charleston.

The case has been assigned to Judge Tera Salango.
