Valley Stone Yard and Maritime Center says Louisiana company owes more than $12,000 for delivered materials

RIPLEY – A Millwood business alleges a Louisiana company failed to pay it for materials it delivered to a construction site.

Valley Stone Yard and Maritime Center filed a complaint in Jackson Circuit Court against Team Development LLC.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges it was hired in February 2018 by the defendant on an emergency basis to deliver stone and materials to a Ravenswood construction site.

The plaintiff alleges completed the work but the defendant allegedly owes $12,368.18 plus interest. The defendant is accused of promissory estoppel, unjust enrichment, breach of contract and bad faith under contract.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. It is represented by Adam R. Salisbury in Pomeroy, Ohio.

The case has been assigned to Judge Lora Dyer.
